Since joining Dr. Cowles' Plankton/Bio-Optical Oceanography lab in the summer of 1997, I have become intimately involved in all aspects of the labs workings from cruise preparation, data collection, analysis, presentation and interpretation. My responsibilities include maintaining a varied array of instruments and computers, assembling multiple instrumentation packages designed to meet the needs of different projects, at sea deployment of said packages, insuring data integrity, troubleshooting instrument and computer software/hardware problems and scientific data analysis. In my spare time, I try and work on this web site.
